Hyde Park Motel

Had to make plans to stay in LA for 2 nights last minute and they had an opening for a good price. Room was clean, and we were left alone not bothered at all. You get what you pay for but even if it was cheap it was still nice if your just looking for a place to crash at night while going through.

I love it here I live here temporarily as guest these people are really awesome respectful ani. Good spirits it's quiet no violence clean the rooms are spacious wifi friendly the security are polite as well. So if your in town an need a nice place to rest check this place out

For a cheap motel it is better then most. The rooms were very clean and the manager was nice. My only complaints is that the towels felt very coarse and there was not Kleenex in the room. The microwave smelled as well. But overall I was happy considering the price.

I was looking for an affordable motel that was relatively close to downtown LA. I got this place at $50 night special and was I surprised when I went in to my room. The room itself was huge and it had a mini fridge, microwave, and iron/ironing board. Parking was never a problem and there is a security car that makes random patrols at night. Sure, the surrounding area is a little rough around the edges, but hey, you're the one looking around Crenshaw :) So if you happen to be in similar situation, I highly recommend this motel.

This review isn't for staying in the motel. There is free food and church service there every Sunday morning. They start setting up at 10:30am. It's probably good to get there by 11:00am. The serve smoothies to drink for the heat in the summer. And they usually have coffee and donuts. The free food is good in my opinion and there is usually something to take with you if you need food for later for a few people. However much they have. Back to the motel - I was told the price for a room is $100. I don't know the amenities or anything else. And I have never been in a room to know how nice they are.

Basic and dated motel but was totally clean in all the important ways. I liked that my room had a laminate floor instead of carpets. Surprisingly quiet for being on a busy street. Slept like a baby. Great value and good management! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend if you have business that takes you to this area of LA and you're on a budget.

Full 5 stars here, you read it right. The area is a bit sketchy but the people are nice here. The motel itself is nice and clean with a fridge and microwave inside and there is limited parking here. There is parking in the back area which looks kinda scary as there is barbed wire running along the top of the wall. Felt safe still as I knew nobody was coming over the wall to mess with the cars. Peoples homes are covered in bars all across the windows too but that is the nature of the neighborhood. Life is what you make it, walk with a good vibe and nobody bothers you. You can find bad things/people anywhere just as you can find the good. I love the area, culture and people. Great stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again when I am back in my old stomping grounds. Crenshaw Blvd was under construction when we were there in July but should be done by now. Convenience store just on the corner less than 2 minutes walking from the Hyde Park Motel.
